Municipal Committee, Muridke District Sheikhupura is striving for providing best Municipal Services to the citizen in its jurisdiction. A number of development programs have been launched for this purpose and have also been planned for new development schemes which will be launched in near future. MC functionaries are trying their level best to maintain the present status of Municipal services according to its available resources. People are requested to cooperate with the functionaries of MC, Muridke in order to keep up the pace of facilities for public benefits. In this connection public cooperation regarding any suggestion for improvement of Municipal Services will be appreciated. MC, Muridke is striving hard to minimize the problems of the public in its limited resources.

Our Mission

A Municipal Committee shall each be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal, with power to acquire and hold property and enter into any contract and may sue and be sued in its name.

Our Vision

Exercise control over land-use, land-subdivision, land development and zoning by public and private sectors for any purpose, including for agriculture, industry, commerce markets, shopping and other employment center.

Our Goals

Assist in the provision of relief in the event of any fire, flood, hailstorm, earthquake, epidemic or other natural calamity and assist relevant authorities in relief activities.

About The City

Muridke is a major commercial area near the city of Lahore, Pakistan. It is located at 31°45’35N 73°50’16E and has an elevation of 205 m (675 ft) and is situated on the famous Grand Trunk Road and at the crossroads to Sheikhupura, Gujranwala and Narang Mandi/Narowal. The economic and social life of the city, which has three police stations and a railway station, mainly depends on Lahore.

 

In 17th October 2005 Muridke became the headquarters of the newly created Muridke Municipal Committee of Sheikhupura District.

Provision of Machinery & Equipment for Improvement of Solid Waste Management in Muridke
 

Under the ongoing Punjab Cities Program with the financial support of the World Bank. Under this program, five compactor , one front blade tractor, one front end loader, eight mini tippers,  one dumper trucks, one Mechanical sweeper,  three hundreed and ninghty seven Containor, one hundreed and eighty hand carts to adapt the sanitation system in Muridke to modern urban facilities.
